Jayplas’ continuous investments in recycling supports the worldwide drive for increased sustainability and the use of recycled plastic within the plastic packaging supply chain. Jayplas continues to lead the development of the UK’s recycling infrastructure across its eight sites to meet the high demand for quality recycled plastics in packaging.

Jayplas offers a 360° plastic recycling process, from collecting, sorting, though too reprocessing of plastic packaging into a pellet and manufacturing recycled flexible plastic packaging products. With the introduction of the Plastic Packaging Tax in 2022 and the evolving Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes, our recycling facilities support the clear economic incentive for businesses to use recycled plastic packaging and to plan for the collection, sorting, and recycling of their packaging waste.

Corby – Head office and post-consumer recycled (PCR) rPET super cleaned hot-wash clear flake and production of rPET food content film.

Cotton Way Loughborough – Post-consumer recycled (PCR) pellets, including rHDPE pellets, rPP pellets and rLDPE pellets.

Summerpool Road Loughborough – Post-consumer recycled (PCR) rLDPE pellet, and rPP pellet from front of store collected soft packaging.

South Normanton – Fully automated optical sorting mixed plastics sortation facility segregates post-consumer mixed rigid bales into infeed stock by polymer types.

Smethwick – Fully automated flexible plastic segregation facility is capable of sorting flexible packaging from retailers and local authorities (including complex multi-layer films)

North Thoresby – rHDPE and rPP food grade PCR pellet production facility. End product for use in manufacturing packaging such as milk bottles and personal health care.

Worksop – Flexible packaging manufacturing facility offers flexible plastic packaging made with up to 100% recycled content.

Transport and Logistics – Working alongside our UK facilities, providing a reliable collection and delivery service, our in-house logistics department and fleet of vehicles.

Wales – 2024 Development of a new £45 million facility in Wales for sortation and recycling of flexible and rigid plastic, boosting the circular economy in Wales.
